The outpatient department operates from 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Saturday. In case of any emergency, kindly visit the casualty which is open 24x7.

Before meeting your doctors for the first time, here’s a checklist of items you should be carrying:

  • 1. List of symptoms you’ve been having and its characteristics such as how long has it been, what does it entail, etc.
  • 2. Any recent (<1 year) medical tests such as blood tests, urine tests, Xrays, CT scan or MRI reports etc.
  • 3. If you have any existing medical conditions, bring along your prescription and related medical information
  • 4. Information about your family history 5. Your insurance details or company ID card, if the hospital is on your pane

In a normal pregnancy, you can be expected to come in for a check up on the following days:

  • 1 St visit to confirm pregnancy
  • 2nd visit: within 12 weeks of pregnancy
  • 12-28 weeks: 1 visit/ month
  • 28 weeks to 36 weeks: 1 visit/2 weeks

A pregnant woman needs more folic acid, calcium, iron & protein than a non-pregnant woman. Hence pre-natal vitamins, which contain an ideal amount is prescribed to every expecting woman. Leafy vegetables, whole grains, dairy products, fruits and lean meats should make up 80 % of the diet.

Yes, insurance should cover the treatment. Infertility till date is not covered by insurance. Can I be guaranteed a normal delivery here? No, every human being is unique and while we have had majority of patients delivering normally at our setup, we cannot guarantee that all patients will do so. We offer a trial of normal delivery but if the treating consultant feels that a cesarean section is warranted due to mother and baby’s health conditions we will proceed with the same after obtaining consent.

The number of visitors in the emergency treatment area is kept to a minimum. Visitors will be asked to remain in the lobby until your loved one is placed into a room after initial examination and procedures. A maximum of 2 visitors per patient are allowed to stay with the patient in the ward. Please note that only one female attender is allowed to remain with the patient in the labour room. This gives our team of healthcare providers sufficient space to do their job quickly and effectively. And it ensures that patients are receiving the best medical care possible while maintaining an appropriate level of privacy. Every effort is made to keep loved ones informed of the patient's condition.

The Casualty or Emergency department caters to the care of patients requiring emergency care (heart attack stroke, multiple fractures, antenatal patients in labour etc) What procedures will I have in the casualty? Treatments and procedures may include initial stabilization of the patient, lab work, radiological studies, ultrasound, EKG for cardiac review, medication administration and physician evaluations. Additional imaging such as CT and MRI scans are sourced outside.

You will be discharged when your treating consultant feels you’re fit to go home. Normally women who undergo normal delivery are discharged the day after delivery if they have had no natal or postnatal complications. If you have undergone any surgical procedure, you will be discharged after 2-3 days after surgery provided you have not developed any intraoperative or post operative complications.

Your treating consultant will inform you regarding when to review after discharge. If you have undergone surgery , avoid wetting your bandages or using oils or indigenous substances on your surgical wounds. Review with your doctor for suture removal 10-12 days after surgery. Bring your hospital card and discharge summary when you review.
